Midwinter Walk: The Earth Reawakening With Justin Wexler- Historic Huguenot Street

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 02/13/2021
Winter is a time of rest. Plant life is dormant, and many animals relax or sleep in their dens. But by midwinter, nature begins to awaken. Join ethnoecologist Justin Wexler of Wild Hudson Valley on one of our seasonal walks. We will explore the outdoors and learn about the local environment and indigenous Hudson Valley life of five centuries ago. Check-in is at the DuBois Fort Visitor Center, and the tour will start at the replica Esopus Munsee wigwam and will guide visitors through the Nyquist-Hartcourt Wildlife Sanctuary. Rain date scheduled for Saturday, February 20.
