A favorite for families and field trips! Hands-on history and science come together at the Time and the Valleys Museum. Step into our museum and 1930s Lost Farm and explore how water, farms and people shaped the Catskills!

Time and the Valleys Museum offers engaging field trips and family experiences that make learning about water, watersheds, and local history fun and accessible. Through hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, and outdoor exploration, discover how  water moves and shapes the Catskills landscape, why watersheds matter, and how this region plays a vital role in supplying drinking water to New York City. Explore our 1930s Lost Farm to discover the personal stories and lasting impact the construction of the NYC Water System had on local families.
