Virtual Class: Gardening 101
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 05/02/2021
Love the idea of growing your own fruits and veggies to eat and preserve, but don’t know how to get started? A green thumb and acres of land aren’t necessary to make that experience a reality. Patio pots and hanging baskets, raised beds, or in-ground gardens can all bring you a bountiful harvest, it just takes a little planning. Join RIT professor Sandi Connelly to discuss the space you have available to garden in, how you can maximize that space, and how the results can put canned goods on your shelves for the winter.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
This two-session class will take place online through Zoom. Once registered, participants will be sent a link for the class date they selected. Before the start of class, participants should have in mind the dimensions of pots, beds, and/or area you want to garden in, the approximate amount of direct or indirect sunlight that area receives, and a list of the veggies/fruits that you would like to grow.
Classes Offered on: Sunday May 2, 10am-11:30am & Tuesday May 18, 7pm-8:30pm
