Place des Arts is excited to present a free, all-ages, virtual storytelling experience, Belonging: Reflections through the Eyes of The Ugly Duckling, adapted by Director Susan Bertoia, from March 5-31, 2021.
Bertoia has adapted Hans Christensen Andersen’s classic and universal fairy tale The Ugly Duckling which is a story of the struggle and pain of “otherness” and how it can be overcome through acceptance and self-love. This story highlights how we can grow through our struggles and find our place in the world.
All are invited to visit our webpage: https://placedesarts.ca/belonging-reflections-through-the-eyes-of-the-ugly-duckling/ to immerse themselves in the powerful story, celebrate diversity and contribute to the discussion around the importance of belonging. Find a connection you might have with the story of the Ugly Duckling and ask yourself, how do I belong?
