We are very excited to announce that the Chelsea Piers Dance Academy will hold an audition for acceptance into the Chelsea Piers Dance Company, which aims to provide emerging dancers with the opportunity to perform and excel in artistry and technique. For more information please click here!
REQUIREMENTS:
Company members are required to enroll in a Chelsea Piers Dance Academy ballet class and one elective class including Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Musical Theatre or Ballroom. A Chelsea Piers Athletic Club Membership is required for all company members and a costume fee of $100 is due by September 16th. Company rehearsals are held Friday evenings for the Fall/Spring season.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
The audition selection is based on technique, commitment level, enthusiasm and stage presence. Accepted students are asked to sign a contract ensuring that company members uphold a high-level of conduct and courtesy, excellent attendance and a positive attitude.
