For over 65 years, the Clay Art Center (CAC) has been the largest and most active ceramics facility in Westchester County, dedicated solely to the advancement of the ceramic arts.

In the classroom, aspiring young artists will develop their imaginations and build confidence, while working in the transformational medium of clay. Our nurturing teachers, who specialize in kindling a passion for creative expression in children, know how to make our classes and camps special by creating an atmosphere of learning, fun and friendship. Focusing on wheel throwing, hand-building and sculpture, students will be shown a variety of techniques on and off the wheel. In today’s technology driven world your child will discover the satisfaction of creating something with their own hands.

Whether you’re just starting out, or looking for more advanced classes, our skilled faculty and resident artists will help you build your clay skills. Youth weekly classes (ages 10 – 17) run September through June, and our summer camps (ages 7 – 15) run July – August. Try our popular one-time handbuilding Saturday Clay Class every Saturday for ages 6– 99! We also have a Family Wheel Night one-time wheel class for parents, tweens/teens age 10 & up twice a month. And we offer birthday parties too!
