Elasmobranchs: Working with Sharks at the Maritime Aquarium
Tuesday, Reception at 6:30 PM, Lecture 7:00 – 8:00 PM.
Lecture by Sandi Schaefer-Padget. Light refreshments precede the lecture, which begins at 7:00 pm. Sandi Schaefer-Padget works with sharks and other elasmobranchs on a day to day basis at the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk. In this lecture, she’ll talk about the species of sharks on display at the aquarium and their natural history. Additionally, she’ll discuss the husbandry and care of elasmobranchs, and how to maintain them in a healthy and safe environment. Members and students with ID, free; non-members $15. The Museum is open at 6:20 pm. Reservations required.
