Hugs, Hike and Hang with Rescued Goats

*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 11/30/2020
Come spend some quality, hands-on time with some very funny and affectionate rescued goats! We love to accommodate small, intimate groups for a personal and meaningful experience with hands-on meet and greet with our rescues. All ages welcome! Groups can last anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on group size, activities and weather.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

We start by introducing you to each of the goats (and chickens if interested) and learning more about them, their unique background stories, behaviors and interesting characteristics of the species. There will be plenty of time for hugs, scratches, photo ops and to feed them some of their favorite treats! We'll then proceed to hike through marked trails on our 9 acre property with the herd, who enjoy navigating the trails and clearing some brush along the way. There will be plenty of opportunities to watch the goats in a natural habitat and observe them .... not to mention plenty of selfie opportunities. We will then spend some more quality time with all of the goats in a more informal environment, so that you can have an opportunity to bond with each of them. They love the attention!

In colder months, we gather around a bonfire and enjoy roasting marshmallows and sipping hot chocolate while we chat. In warmer months, we'll enjoy cold beverages in the shade!!

If a date isn't available on our calendar, please ask! We'd love to accommodate you if we can!

* Please note that we will have a hand-washing station and hand sanitizer available for all guests to use before and after the experience. The experience is entirely outside and limited to 10 people maximum, allowing for ample social distancing. While it is still recommended by the CDC, we will wear masks and will provide homemade fabric masks to borrow if needed.

*Also note that there is no public restroom on-site.

* Reservations are required
