Gallery 66 NY will exhibit “Improvisation,” the dance photography of Ellen Crane and Jennifer Woolcock Schwartz’s jazz inspired paintings.

Hastings resident Ellen Crane is a former professional dancer and her lifelong interest in movement has inspired her to discover various methods for expressing kinetic energy in still photographs of fireworks and choreography, the subject of her exhibit.  Her methods of photographing produce compositions quite different than what is observed with the naked eye.  Crane has been exhibited at Lincoln Center, ArtsWestchester and published in Dance Magazine, New York Magazine, The New York Times and The Village Voice.

The exhibit will be on view from June 3 through June 26 , with an opening reception Friday, June 3, 6-9 pm. The gallery’s regular hours are Friday through Sunday, 12 PM to 6 PM.  Gallery 66 NY is located at 66 Main St., Cold Spring, NY.  For more information call 845-809-5838, or visit us at  www.gallery66ny.com  Event is free.
