Juneteenth Festival at Columbus Park - Mamaronek

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 06/17/2023
OneMamaroneck will host a Juneteenth Festival on Saturday, June 17, at Columbus Park. Juneteenth is about the acknowledgment that the persons enslaved in Texas were finally notified on June 19, 1865, that they were free according to Emancipation Proclamation that was signed on January 1, 1863. This year's OneMamaroneck theme is the Promises of Freedom: Honoring our Past, Present, and Future. We will be honoring the Mothers of Black Community for our past; Jarrett Winchester, Larry Albert, David Vaughn, Rhunette Mitchell, and Lavet Allen as our Present, and the Multicultural Student Union and the BIPOC Student Union at Mamaroneck High School for our Future. Please join us on a day of fun, culture, and freedom.
