"The premier American ragtime ensemble" - Washington Post

The PRSO recreates the sounds of the concert stage, the dance halls, and the theatre – ragtime, dance music, and theatre selections, all performed off the original musical scores. Founded in 2010 by Andrew Greene, PRSO has been called “one of the best ragtime orchestras” by Rob Bamberger, Host of Hot Jazz Saturday Night (WAMU 88.5) and has been praised for its work to preserve and share America’s rich musical history.  PRSO has appeared at vaunted venues across the U.S. including The Kennedy Center.

“What Mr. Greene and company prove above all else is that ragtime, like the classical music that preceded it, and the jazz age which would soon follow, is best heard live”– The Diamondback, University of Maryland Newspaper.

Presented by the Levitt Pavilion as part of the Celebration Sundays Series sponsored by Jewish Senior Services: The Barons (7/12), Dr. K's Motown Revue (7/19), Incendio (7/26), Arthur Lipner & Brasilian Vibes (8/2), and Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra (8/9).
